PBPK Modeling for DDI with OSP Suite version 12
Tuesday 21st April 2026 | IN PERSON (Radisson Blu Hotel, Basel)
Do you want to increase your capabilities to support decision making in drug development with PBPK? This one-day workshop will teach how to use and leverage the Open Systems Pharmacology (OSP) suite (also known as PK-Sim® and MoBi®) for Drug-Drug interactions (DDI) in the context of both ICH M12 and ICH M15.
We will utilize the standardized and well-established whole body PBPK model provided in PK-Sim® and the open modeling possibilities in MoBi®.
The workshop covers aspects such as:
- The fundamentals in PK-Sim and MoBi, version 12
- How to set up a PBPK model in PK-Sim
- How to retrieve reference compound files (victims and perpetrators) and enzyme/transporters framework
- How to handle standard DDI cases with hands-on exercise
- How to handle non standard DDI cases, e.g. multiple enzymes, transporters or endogenous DDI biomarkers with MoBi
- How to verify, qualify and assess applicability of the models
- How to run simulations to assess DDI risks
- How to assess model risk and derive performance metrics
- How to derive recommendations towards DDI risk for labelling
Workshop tutors: Tobias Kanacher, Senior Director, MIDD Consultant and and Johanna Eriksson, Senior Director, MIDD Consultant
